Note: Performance specifications are based on 77˚F (25˚C) feed water, SDI < 3, TDS below 1000 ppm and pH of 8. Individual membrane productivity and rejection rates are based on manufacturer's specifications. Please see water temperature conversion charts for production factor. Chlorine reduction and other pretreatment may be required. Systems are designed for use with municipal and well water.

The AquaPro RO® LC-1 system was designed by PureH2O, Ltd.® to produce ultra-pure drinking water from tap feed water in The Bahamas and Caribbean Islands. This low-maintenance, highly reliable, compact RO system is perfect for light commercial and residential applications and can be modified for source water that contains up to 3,000 ppm Total Dissolved Solids.

PRINCIPLES OF REVERSE OSMOSIS
The AquaPro RO® LC-1 system employs thin film composite spiral wound membrane elements for continuous superior performance. A high pressure pump supplies feed water to the RO membranes that allow only ultra clean water to permeate them. The RO membranes reject metals, salts, ionic and other inorganic and biological impurities that are discharged to waste.

WATER TEMPERATURE & PRESSURE
The performance of any RO system is dependent on water temperature and pressure. The AquaPro RO® LC-1 is rated at standard operating conditions of 77˚F (25˚C) feed water temperature, 60 psi feed water pressure and 1,000 TDS feed water quality. Higher temperatures will result in more water passing through the membranes and increased water production. As a rule, at given pressures and TDS levels, for each one-degree change in water temperature the change in water production is approximately 2%. A pressure regulator must be used when the feed water pressure exceeds 90.

Note: Feed water pretreatment may be required if the above operating parameters are not met. Failure to meet feed water requirements may foul membrane and void the warranty. Contact PureH2O, Ltd.® for an analysis of your feed water and RO system operating specifications.

LIMITED WARRANTY
All PureH2O, Ltd.® Residential and Commercial Reverse Osmosis Systems are warranted to the original purchaser to be free of defects in material and workmanship for a period of one year from date of installation. PureH2O, Ltd.® will repair or replace parts which are defective. Normal wear, accident, abuse, misuse, unauthorized alteration or repairs are excluded. PureH2O, Ltd.® will not be responsible for damages resulting from the improper installation or operation of a PureH2O, Ltd.® system by a third party. General RO Process Diagram



1. System location
The RO system should be located on a level surface in an area sheltered from sun, wind and rain. The temperature in this area should be maintained, and should not fall below 35F, nor greater than 95F. If these limits are exceeded damage to components may result and the warranty may be considered void. It is important to allow sufficient space around the unit so maintenance can easily be performed.

2. Plumbing
The pressure pu
mps require a continuous flow of water to the system. Minimum feed water pressure is 20 psi.

3. Feed water
Piping for feed water to the RO system should be either copper or plastic. Iron and carbon steel pipe will increase the iron content of the raw feed water and adversely affect the RO system's performance. Temperature of the feed water must not exceed 95F.

4. Product water (permeate) line connection
The product water (permeate) line should be connected to the manifold on the back side of the system. This line should not have valves and should run directly to the storage tank.

5. Concentrate (waste) line connection
Connect the waste water line (concentrate) to the manifold on the back side of the system. The waste from the system should not have valves and should have an air break between it and the building drain system. The tubing or piping used for discharge of the concentrate should be run to an open drain in a free and unrestricted manner.

6. Electrical
The customer must provide a properly sized electrical service.

Level controls
In most installations it is necessary to use a level switch connector wire to install a level control or an electrical float switch to turn the RO system on and off based on the water level in the storage tank.

Pumps
RO Pressure pumps should never be allowed to run dry. The lack of sufficient feed water will cause permanent damage to the pumps. Feed pumps should be operated only with filtered water.

Pre-filtration
AquaPro RO® LC-1 systems come with particulate pre-filters to remove suspended particles down to five (5) micron in size. Pre-filter cartridges should be changed every 1-2 months or when a pressure differential of 10% or more detected.
